Doing the kid thing is the primary reason I’ve been able to write so prolifically this year. I highly recommend it for productivity and for the soul.

The Books
stayed home with both my two from first appearance to school. Tough but magic, and I’d never exchange those years for anything, not even a twenty book mega contract with movie rights, Nobel prize and statue in my birthplace. Those years and those bonds set you up for the teenage years when the bonds are slashed at and chewed and spat on and rent asunder by their desperate efforts to get away from us
